Their two families run this business but the real story began when Dan and Scott grew up as friends in Lima, Ohio and then continued their friendship into their adult years.  Their love of salsa and hot sauce was then shared with their wives and children.  The main event at any of their family get togethers, was to see who could out do the other, in the hottest salsa or hot sauce eating contest, plus show off their latest homemade creations. They tried various brands but always ended up adding their own special touches to make it the exact taste they wanted to experience. They realized that they were doing all the work but still buying other brands too. This made no sense to them. So - their dream of owning their own salsa and hot sauce company started taking shape. Today, each family member takes an active part in making this dream a reality.  For example, our children were responsible for creating the pepper meter and several of the product names that you see throughout our web site.
